Procrastination
chmarr
Ever had that circumstance where you promise something to someone, but you put it off, and put it off, and then when the deadline creeps around you finally get off your ass and do it, and it takes SO little time that it makes you think "Why in the world didn't I just do this month's ago?"

Well, I had (another) one of those a few days ago. I promised I'd write a little piece of software for a friend, and have it done by the end of December. It simply slipped my mind until a week or so ago (regardless of the message on the board that's right behind my desk). My friend duly put pressure on me to finish it, and I did so; spent about 6 hours over two nights (total, not apiece). I mean, c'mon... I'd wasted more time than that over the Christmas holidays refreshing Slashdot! (Well, not quite, but you get the drift).

I'd like to think I'm very reliable, with the odd breakdown here and there. (After all, if you never break a promise, then you're not really promising enough ;). But.... if I'm to keep that reliability and not be labeled a 'flake', then I'm going to have to get my time management skills back into some serious order.

Suggestions welcome!

Man, no kidding. I need more constantly updated fresh content pages in my life. Slashdot, Fark, LJ Friends, VCL, Slashdot, Fa...

Make the VCL Sieve recompile every 10 minutes! Do it because I said so!

...sorry, just finished watching the whole first season of Aqua Teen Hunger Force with Glenn :) Meatwad's got -spunk- sometimes!
